2022 Mi Sueño Sin Fronteras 1.5L
Downloads
Throughout Rolando's career as a winemaker, he has focused on traditional winemaking techniques and the value that the terroir adds to the wine. With Sin Fronteras, Rolando took a walk on the wild side, coloring outside the lines of tradition, and blended unexpected varietals while striving to create a wine of substance. When Rolando started thinking of the way in which he was going to craft this wine, he pulled inspiration from his Tio Antonio, a very robust man known throughout the village of La Chole. He fondly remembers the many hours that they would spend walking between the villages of La Chole and El Llano, the stories he would tell, and the many memories they created together. It is his robust and good-hearted nature that has inspired Rolando to craft this rich, concentrated, and complex wine.
VINEYARD
The 2022 growing season will be remembered as the year of two harvests, and with climate variability becoming the new norm, Napa Valley growers demonstrated their resilience and adaptability. Harvest began in early August but was temporarily halted due to rain, giving winemakers an unexpected break. This pause allowed grapes to hang on the vine through October, ripening perfectly in the cooler, milder days that followed.
CELLAR
We personalize the winemaking for each varietal to bring out the best aspects of both the vintage and varietal. Each step we take when crafting this wine all contribute to the luxuriously textured flavors.
GLASS
This powerful wine showcases a deep purple hue alluding to the bold aromatics to come of dark cassis, warm figs, black plum, rich coffee, toasted pepitas, and vanilla. On entry, you are greeted with big chewy lush tannins and bountiful flavors of dark fruit, black plum, figs, raspberry cordial, cocoa nib, and sweet oak.
TABLE
Pork Ribs, smoked low and slow over maple and cherry wood, bring forth a subtle sweetness in the meat that just makes Sin Fronteras sing with beautiful harmony.
