VINEYARD
The 2022 growing season was a challenging vintage defined by a severe Labor Day heatwave. While a cool, temperate summer led to steady ripening, the heat compressed the harvest, but Napa Valley’s cooler climate helped mitigate the effects. The best wines from this vintage show good structure and fresh acidity. This "Tale of Two Harvests" required exceptional vineyard management, but the resulting wines often possess a great sense of purity and balance despite the hurdles.

CELLAR
Aged for 21 months in 65% new French oak, the wine was granted an additional year of rest in the bottle, allowing its complexity to deepen and its flavors to evolve. Displaying a deep ruby color, otherwise known as ‘Mi Sueño red’, the wine opens with aromas of black cherry, coffee bean, pinecone, ripe plum, cassis, molasses and roasted almonds. On the palate, the complexity of flavors reveals dry and chewy tannins balanced with notes of textured minerality, bold forest fruit, dark chocolate, river rock, and sweet oak that linger endlessly.
