Vineyard Notes
The 2022 growing season will be remembered as the year we experienced two harvests. With climate variability now the norm, growers have become skilled in resilience and adaptability. Our experience proved invaluable with five days of triple-digit heat in September that was followed by rain, abruptly halting harvest. While challenging, we believe these unique weather events will highlight the full spectrum of flavors Napa Valley wines are known for, from crisp and vibrant to dense and powerful.
Production Notes
A proprietary blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, and a kiss of Petit Verdot, the grapes are chosen from three of our estate vineyards located in Coombsville, Oak Knoll, and Mt. Veeder. Aged for an incredible 20 months in barrels consisting of 25% new French oak and 25% new American oak, the extended barrel age creates an approachable, balanced, seamless, and elegant wine.
Food Pairing Notes
While this incredibly versatile, food-friendly wine can pair with so many dishes, we suggest trying it with Prime rib with creamy horseradish or a classic burger with truffle fries.
