VINEYARD
The 2021 vintage in Napa Valley was marked by a significant lack of rain, leading to the second consecutive year of drought. However, the long, warm summer brought consistent temperatures, and the deep foggy mornings created ideal conditions for vibrant, expressive wines. With a more natural load on the vines, there was less need for pruning and fruit thinning. As a result, the grapes were packed with flavor, featuring smaller yields and berries, creating wines with exceptional concentration and tremendous aging potential.
CELLAR
Aged for 21 months in 65% new French oak, the wine was granted an additional year of rest in the bottle, allowing its complexity to deepen and its flavors to evolve. The result is a wine that whispers of time's delicate touch, inviting you to savor its layers of rich, velvety texture. Displaying a deep ruby color, otherwise known as ‘Mi Sueno red’, the wine opens with aromas of black cherry, vanilla bean, pinecone, ripe plum, cassis, molasses and roasted almonds. On the palate, the complexity of flavors reveals dry and chewy tannins balanced with notes of textured minerality, bold forest fruit, dark chocolate, river rock, and sweet oak that linger endlessly.
