Vineyard Notes
The 2020 growing season started out with copious rainfall. The long, warm summer saw few extreme heat waves, and the foggy mornings set the stage for vibrant and expressive wines across the Valley. The long mild late summer helped preserve freshness and finesse in the fruit. This wine perfectly captures the specifics of each appellation that it consists of – Oak Knoll, Mt. Veeder and Coombsville.
		Production Notes
Hand harvested in stages between early and mid Oct, each cabernet is gently pressed and racked then wine is aged for 22 months in 70% new French oak barrels before blend is finalized.
		Tasting Notes
This garnet, dark ruby wine has the iconic Mi Sueno red color that our wines are known for. The aroma is filled with black currant, blackberry, fig, toast, black pepper, cedar, coffee, and wet dirt. The mouthfeel continues to impress with pronounced minerality, well integrated tannins and prolonged finish with expressions of forest fruit, cassis, plum and hints of mocha and molasses.
		Food Pairing Notes
A wonderful pairing that would not let you down would be a medium rare ribeye with mushroom sauce and grilled veggies.
