Vineyard Notes
The 2020 season will be remembered for factors beyond the normal
measurements. Here in the valley, it was a warm, dry winter and we
didn't start to see rain and cold weather until the end of March. While
the mild spring season gave us a great early start, the wineries of Napa
Valley worked under extensive safety protocols due to the COVID
pandemic. Summer brought very cool mornings and very warm days.
While the 2020 Napa Valley harvest proved to be one of the most challenging in history, our winemaker remains not only optimistic but committed to bottling wines of the highest quality. The story of this
vintage will continue to unfold over the years to come.
Production Notes
A proprietary blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Petit Verdot from our Estate Vineyards in Mt. Veeder, Coombsville, and Oak Knoll. Aged patiently for 24 months in 100% New French oak for true harmony in a bottle.
Tasting Notes
This wine’s incredible pitch-black, inky color hypnotizes you, while your
nose is being flooded with graphite, molasses, forest wood, wet dirt,
blackberry and pinecones. The gorgeous mouthfeel leads to rich and bright dark cherry, vanilla, mocha, crème de cassis, dark chocolate. The incredible power, finesse, and vibrancy make you yearn for more.
While absurdly amazing right now, this can age for decades.
Food Pairing Notes
While Lorena may be incredibly good to drink on its own, you can take it to the next level and try a classic: Filet Mingon with Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, creamy Artichoke dip.
