STARTING IN THE VINEYARD
The season was seamless, long, and abundant. The weather was not too hot or too cold, resulting in near-perfect fruit. Early 2018 brought abundant rains followed by a relatively mild spring and summer. This created uniformity across vineyards allowing for slow ripening resulting in elegant fruit.
TO THE CELLAR
Hand-harvested in late September, then gently pressed and racked, this wine aged for 20 months in 70% new French oak barrels.
IN YOUR GLASS
A bit shy at first, the wine opens with intense and rich flavors of luscious dark cherries and ripe raspberries, while hints of graphite, baking spices, and rose petals tantalize the palate. Dominant chewy tannins fill the mouth and extend through the long and complex finish.
ON YOUR TABLE
