Vineyard Notes
On the heels of a wonderful 2013 came an even more special 2014. The consistency and quality of fruit from across our vineyards was astonishing and beautiful to work with. Our recent drought was somewhat lessened by welcome February rains and the vines responded with balanced and delicious fruit.
Production Notes
Once the grapes are de-stemmed, they receive 25 days of skin contact to extract the remarkably rich color and ripe tannins.
Tasting Notes
Our Russian River Pinot Noir’s deep ruby color illustrates its depth and showcases the complexity and richness of the flavors to come. This wine has aromas of crisp red cherry, vanilla, cola, and cloves, with subtle smoky undertones. It has surprising acidity supporting intense flavors of pomegranate and black cherry, and an earthy, long-lasting finish.
Food Pairing Notes
The uniquely rich body and deep color of this Pinot Noir calls for the meaty and earthy flavors of a roasted pork loin and mushroom risotto. For lighter fare, pair with grilled salmon.
